My first was a polka band,
that's me with the clarinet.
Actually, we didn't have
an accordion player,
just a bunch of clarinetists
...and a saxophone player whom
I envied to the point of switching
to alto sax and learning to play jazz.
this is my first gig in New York City,
I was sixteen.
The drummer behind me is Wilson,
he was never a basketball.
The guitarist was named Jim also,
the band was two Jims and Wilson.
We did not play basketball.
I have since learned to play YMCA
by the Village People.
