BEBOP
Not just any dialog, another language,
old themes to offer prologue and prose,
along with new questions to myself,
but like voodoo, no words allowed.
The timber of constant saxophone
gets my message straight across.
Dirty talk, sometimes, hurt pulls out
all the stops, filling 3rd rate places
with no preconceived gravel throat.
How does one note relate to another?
...Interjects like a slash in a one-sided
smoke-clouded, bebop articulation.
