Hank Rollins won't find anything good,
not in his room, anyway, not unless
he imports something there,
a few cares of the world from CNN,
a music video to see how the kids are.
He's always talking straight ahead
like he's watching something.
Are we too vigilant, worried the eyes
won't work from too much television,
from too much exposure to literacy?
The telephone lines are throbbing
in search of a psycho semblance,
even an antichrist aunt, anyone
in Peoria who just plain hates those
fascist evil plots to wipe out free will and
replace it with a statue of Pat Boone.
