Anxiety is a ghost I make up  
Out of whole cloth and thin air,  
A brain child of all my demons,  
Real enough to ruin my day,  
But shy as chimera in substance  
Barely able to reveal evil ways  
Except in flashes and symbols  
Visions of this bare stage  
Raging music we play there.

We rock Mephisto, solo macabre  
Make realities out of shadowbox  
And shadows out of equinox  
Where every gig is equal length.

The pace, the drumbeats  
Speeding up the tempo,  
Serpents snaking up the spine  
Flashes to explore,  
Symbols we adore  
The ghost agenda grows  
Takes its toll on me  
And needs more energy  
To supply a deficient soul.

We rock Miphisto, solo macabre  
Need this music far too much  
Always icy fingertips,  
A trip fantastic, way too much in touch.

Anxiety is a host I make up  
Out of sail cloth and chilly winds,  
Ghost ship fostered by my demons,  
Gaunt figures hovering mid air  
Meditate on me alone,  
My bones grow cold from the stare.

All ghosts need their freedom, 
I must let them go.  
Out of body, out of mind,  
A soul is stronger than you know.
