 Orlando Furioso

February 4th, 2005 to February 28th, 2005

An exhibition of contemporary paintings, sculptures, photographs, and installations

by 19 Central Florida artists.

For the month of February, art6 Gallery is excited to announce that they will be exhibiting Orlando Furioso, an exposition of 19 artists from the Central Florida Region. These artists were gathered under the direction of RV Arsdal and showed together in Milan, Italy in the years 2001 and 2002. The artists’ work in this exhibit is a sampling of what Central Floridians are producing and includes paintings, photographs, bronzes, sculptures, installations, and performance sculpture. Included in this exhibit are works by Cheryl Bogdanowitsch, Andy Coppola, David Lee Cumbie, Timothy James EisleyJohann Eyfells, Kristin Eyfells, Frank Gady, Bill Gallagher, Walter Gaudnek, Homer L. Hartage, Charles Hodges, Woody Igou, Calvert Lafollette, Marlene London, R.V. Arsdol, Dean Stuart Warren, Tiphanie Windsor-Perez, Laura Weston, and M. Laine Wyatt.

The artists have regional reputations as well as international reputations. Dean Warren, Cal Lafollette, and Cheryl Bogdanowitsch have all shown, for the last three years, in Italy with Studio D’Ars. Andy Coppola, David Cumbie, and RV Arsdol were included in the Sculpture Mile in Steinhagen, Germany. Johann Eyfells represented Iceland in the 45th Venice Biennale. Marlene London, Charles Hodges, and Bill Gallagher have all exhibited in New York as well as Florida. Several of the artists have been making art for more than 40 years, while some have been making art for less than six. The artists range from self-taught painters like Tim Eisley, to educators such as a Laura Weston and M. Laine Wyatt.

All of the artists exhibiting are included in the book entitled Orlando Furioso American Art: Central Florida Artists. The book offers exquisite color photographs of each artists work, as well as statements from the artists and their biographies. The book is available for purchase at art6 Gallery’s boutique.

art6 Gallery will commence their exhibit for First Fridays, on February 4th, 2005, at 7pm.
