As part of the art6 Gallery commitment to community outreach, we are happy to host our first Juried High School Art Exhibition for Richmond and surrounding counties. This show will open on Friday, June 3rd, 2005 and run through Sunday June 26th, 2005. The gallery has approximately 1,500 guests attending our openings, so this exhibit is a great opportunity for the community to view the work of the local talent generating in our area high schools. The exhibit is also a wonderful experience for these students to exhibit and see their work in a professional gallery.

The students were selected from a distinguished panel of jurors: Lydia Thompson (sculpture, ceramic faculty at VCU), Wolfgang Jasper (painter and photographer), Terry Brown (photographer, winner of the 2005 VSPA show), and Matt Lively (mixed media artist). POSTCARD WORKSHOP at ART6!

Join us for an afternoon of creating mailable art - postcards.

 Mim Golub, adjunct faculty at VCU, mail art

and Artist Trading Card artist, will lead the workshop.

 Saturday, July 23rd, 2005 - 1 pm to 4 pm  at art6 Gallery, 6 E Broad St., Richmond.
